Better Conversations: Questioning That Moves Practice

Instructional coaches, teacher leaders, mentors, and administrators who coach

Coaching happens in the conversation. This session examines what makes those conversations productive: the questions that open thinking rather than close it, the value of paraphrasing and pausing, and the shift that occurs when a conversation is anchored in student evidence.
Participants practice in structured rounds, work through the conversations they find most difficult, and leave with a small set of moves they can use in their next cycle.
