The Science of Learning in Tier 1, K-8.

Research on how memory works has clear and usable implications for daily instruction. This session translates cognitive science into moves teachers can make immediately: managing the load a lesson places on working memory, using retrieval and spacing so learning holds beyond Friday, and building the background knowledge that comprehension and problem solving depend on.
Participants audit their own materials during the session and leave with strategies that apply across grade levels and content areas.
