Description

Part II of Part II
Grades 2-8: Teachers, Coaches, & Administrators
Writing is thinking made visible, and it draws on everything students know about language at once.
When we understand how those pieces work together, we can teach them deliberately and let student writing guide what comes next.
This series uses Sedita's Writing Rope as one lens for both teaching writing and assessing it.

Part 2: Using Rubrics to Inform Instruction. Participants use the same lens to read the student writing they brought, calibrate their thinking with colleagues, and practice moving from what they notice to a specific instructional next step.
