This engaging workshop designed for educators who are new to AI will introduce them to artificial intelligence tools to help them improve efficiency and personalized learning. In this hands-on session, we'll give overview and background on the current AI landscape, explore practical applications of AI for your classroom, and try various AI tools. Participants will learn to craft effective AI prompts for their content area, and identifying ways to integrate AI seamlessly into their teaching strategies and task. We’ll also discuss potential limitations, challenges, and ethical considerations for responsible AI use, and begin developing student-facing communications about the use of this technology. By the end, educators will be equipped with practical strategies to implement AI effectively, creating an inclusive and innovative learning environment while feeling confident about using AI tools in their teaching journey.

Participants should have a fully charged laptop with the camera on.
Tools such as Chat GPT, Google Gemini, and Adobe Firefly at a minimum will need to be unblocked and accessible to educators on their devices. Please ensure network connectivity capabilities for the number of participants that will be online during the duration of the workshop.

Part II:
Ruby Payne is a respected expert in child development and behavioral management. In her book Emotional Poverty How to Reduce Anger, Anxiety, and Violence in the Classroom- she expounds on the importance of understanding why, as opposed to judging and stereotyping students. Her insights provide valuable tools for educators to practice in our schools. This course is fashioned to assist teachers in behaviorally and psychologically understanding our most challenging question, WHY?
The purpose of this course is to identify tools and strategies that promote classrooms and campuses with less anger, anxiety, avoidance, and violence. They major objectives of Day 2 are to; review the major concepts addressed in Day 1, develop the tools to MOTIVATE good behavior, and address the factors that create “emotional noise.”
During this presentation we will provide concrete strategies to address many emotional issues and provide conceptual shifts for educators. Specific topics addressed during this session will be; Review of Day 1 Concepts, Inner Strengths and Emotional Hurt, Adolescence Brain Changes, Behavioral verses Psychological Growth, Validations, Bonding and Attachment, Tools to Build Bonding and Attachment, Anxiety, Emotional Triage, Male v Female Brains, Noise in your Classroom, Energy verses Responsibility Evolution, Isomorphism, and Environmental Noise.

In this reflective session, participants will explore the foundational beliefs behind MTSS and evaluate the effectiveness of current systems and structures. Participants will leave with a plan to bring back to their districts.
