This engaging workshop designed for educators who are new to AI will introduce them to artificial intelligence tools to help them improve efficiency and personalized learning. In this hands-on session, we'll give overview and background on the current AI landscape, explore practical applications of AI for your classroom, and try various AI tools. Participants will learn to craft effective AI prompts for their content area, and identifying ways to integrate AI seamlessly into their teaching strategies and task. We’ll also discuss potential limitations, challenges, and ethical considerations for responsible AI use, and begin developing student-facing communications about the use of this technology. By the end, educators will be equipped with practical strategies to implement AI effectively, creating an inclusive and innovative learning environment while feeling confident about using AI tools in their teaching journey.

Participants should have a fully charged laptop with the camera on.
Tools such as Chat GPT, Google Gemini, and Adobe Firefly at a minimum will need to be unblocked and accessible to educators on their devices. Please ensure network connectivity capabilities for the number of participants that will be online during the duration of the workshop.
